This is a nice little 350,000 sf manufacturing facility for Northrup Grumman that is nearing completion in Waynesboro VA. Our crews have been working on installing nearly (150) H/C, fire lane, 🛑, EV, VISITOR PARKING, NO SMOKING, etc. signs while we wait for the surface paving to be completed. Yesterday we received a “911” call from the building contractor that the inspector was requiring a sizable portion of the employee parking lot to be striped and the fire lane markings completed (on base asphalt) in advance of a temporary occupancy inspection TOMORROW morning. 😳🤦‍♂️ We mobilized a paint crew this morning, and they have completed everything that is required for the inspection. 👏🥳😎 (The extra white dashes are where the pavers had already laid out their paving pulls so when they mobilize they will be ready to roll!) Stay tuned for more photos as this exciting project wraps up in the coming weeks.

**NOT OUR WORK!!**
This a recently opened Wawa store in MD that we were unable to stripe because of it being ready when our schedule was already beyond full, and the air and surface temperatures at the time being well below unsuitable for painting concrete parking aprons in late November . The general contractor hired another company to complete these markings over the Thanksgiving weekend and this is the result 2 months later!! This is what happens when a sub-contractor is more interested in making a quick dollar than providing a quality job and building a business with a reputation of quality, integrity, and professionalism. Sadly the time, cost, and logistics of fixing this situation at a 24/7/365 convenience store will be many times more than the contractor got paid to needlessly create this mess. Sometimes the most satisfying jobs are the ones you respectfully decline….

When you are fighting critical deadlines, tenants moving in, unseasonably cold temperatures, and inclement weather, you try to make an impossible schedule possible. This lot was based paved on Thursday, surface paving was started Friday morning, and at 12 o’clock Friday afternoon a 7-man crew was mobilized to begin layout and painting of the nearly (75) regular and (7) H/C parking spaces while the asphalt was still warm and above the required surface temperature for painting. With nearly all of the painting completed before the crew left yesterday, we mobilized this morning (when it was 24°F) with a truckload of parking blocks and a skid loader to set, align, and anchor them. This lot will be 100% complete, less the wall-mounted H/C signs, before the snow forecast for this evening and the bitterly cold temps for the next 3 days move in tonight. (Morgan-Keller - General contractor; Gantt’s Excavating - site contractor; W-L Construction & Paving - paving contractor)

After many years of being graveled, the Rose Hill Park parking lot has finally been paved and striped!! The Frederick County Parks and Recreation personnel will be installing the concrete wheel stops in the coming days to complete the project. Thank You Carroll Construction Co. for allowing us to continue to serve your pavement markings and maintenance needs for over 30 years!
