Let’s talk built-in drawer dividers 🙂

While they look sooo nice, they are not for everyone. Whether they will work for you or not will largely depend on the items (and how many of them) you want to store in the drawers. After you’ve carefully selected what must go in the drawers, consider these pros and cons:

PROS:
✔️ They are sturdy
✔️ The different sections will always stay in place
✔️ They give your drawer a clean look

CONS:
❌ They are not adjustable, which might result in wasted space
❌ They are limiting; not all items will fit
❌ Might not be able to accommodate future items

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 🥂

For a lot of people, January 1st is when Christmas decorations come down. That used to be me until my daughter was born. She has an early January birthday, which means I’m in full party planning mode right now 😳 Our decorations now come down shortly after Christmas to get the house ready (she loves having her birthdays at home😬). So I thought I would start the year with a Christmas product recommendation!

These are my favorite wreath storage bags! They are the VENO brand and you can get them on Amazon (they are on sale now!). I love that they are pretty durable, roomy and clear, and you can hang them in your garage, doors, or walls! They are also very versatile too… you can also use them for Christmas blankets or pillows! They come in a 4 or 5-pack and if after Christmas decorations, you still have some unused, you can used them for everyday bedding, seasonal clothes, plush toys, etc…so many options!

Product find! I saw these during Prime days and decided to give them a try. My only complaint is that I wish they included a second large cube instead of just one. But other than that, I love using them! I used laundry mesh bags before which had no shape at all…I love that these keep their rectangular shape. When I packed, I used the large one for my main clothes and the next size for Pjs, underwear and swimwear. I used a third one if I couldn’t fit everything in the other two or if I had extras (jackets, winter accessories, etc).

Before starting any project, we usually like to come up with a plan on how to tackle things. And while that can be good, we often end up overthinking our plan, which leads to overwhelm, which then leaves us with no plan and no progress. So instead, just start. The plan will come to you, and you’ll often find that the perfect plan will come after making many changes to it. You don’t need the perfect plan before you start! Just start!💪

If you don’t love it, doesn’t fit in your house, or haven’t used it for a while, it is NOT adding ANY value to your life, no matter how expensive it was. Let it go and let some one else enjoy it by selling it, gifting it (to someone who really wants it), or donate it. Otherwise it’s just adding to your clutter.

Continuing the theme from my previous quote….don’t buy stuff just because it’s on sale. You don’t need 20 of an item if you go to the store every week. Do you have room to store them all? Buy only what you need. You’ll be saving money in the long run because when you have too much stuff, things get lost and you can’t find the items that you need when you need them, and you just end up buying even more!

We should be feeling guilty when we are at the store, not when we are about to place the item in the donation box! When you are at the store, try this…think of where EXACTLY the item is going to go in your house….and not just “in the living room”, it needs to be more specific than that, something like “on the end table next to the picture frame”. If you can’t find a specific spot, leave it at the store no matter how cute or discounted it is.
