Blossom End Rot on your tomatoes? 🍅

If you’ve ever noticed the bottom of your tomatoes turning soft, dark, or discolored, you’re probably dealing with blossom end rot.

The good news? It’s one of the easiest problems to prevent.

Mark recommends adding a soluble calcium source early in the growing season, especially when your tomato plants start flowering. Calcium helps support healthy fruit development and can dramatically reduce blossom end rot.

He also recommends supporting your plants with trace minerals and amino acids. One of the easiest options is Green Aminos — just a teaspoon per gallon of water helps provide amino acids, calcium, and essential trace minerals your plants need to thrive.

Healthy roots. Healthy plants. Better tomatoes. 🍅🌿

Why is some soil so cheap? 🌱

Not all soil is made the same.

Some bags are cheaper because they’re filled with low-quality ingredients, wood chunks, green waste compost, or fillers that don’t really help your plants thrive.

Good soil needs better ingredients: peat moss, coco coir, perlite, worm castings, organic food, and fermented biochar.

It may cost a little more upfront, but your plants will feel the difference.

Healthy soil = healthier plants 🌿

Is your soil ready for the season?

Before you add more fertilizer, start with the soil. Healthy soil feeds your plants the right way — with microbes, carbon, and all the good stuff your roots need.

For raised beds or large pots, worm castings are always a great place to start. Mix them in, give your soil life, and let your plants do the rest.

Transplant shock, part 2 🌱

Moving a plant into new soil can be a lot for the roots, so don’t rush it.

Keep the soil as compatible as you can, be gentle with the root ball, and skip the heavy fertilizer for the first few weeks. The goal is to help the plant settle in, not stress it out.

A little mycorrhiza, clean water, aloe, seaweed, or our Green Aminos can make the transition way easier and help your plants bounce back faster.

Part 2 of 2.

Why do plants get transplant shock?

When you move a plant into a new home, the roots go through a lot. New soil, different pH, different watering, different texture… it all matters.

Be gentle with the root ball, don’t overwater, and make sure your new soil is compatible with what the plant is already used to.

Part 2 coming soon.
