Garden Walk by Virginia Brimhall Smith. Published by Gibbs Smith copyright 2023. Virginia Snow childrens author and award-winning artist invites us on a stroll through Grammy’s garden and woods with her grsndkids on a summer’s day. Charming illustrations of Grammy and her grands exploring accompanied with flowing prose held the interest of my own 15 month old grandson. In fact, he enjoyed it so much he insisted I read it promptly two more times. I happily complied. Colorful pops of color on each page help children learn how to identify different flowers, fruits, vegetables, trees and animals. At the end of the book are instructions on how to make four fun foods to take on the readers own picnic with their Grammy, Grampy or special friend. For over thirty years Virginia has been using pens and paints to express her love of nature. She enjoys time with her grandchildren in her garden in Utah. Available at Barnes & Noble, Target and Indy Book Stores.
