A fresh new look without changing the footprint. ✨

This kitchen had great bones, so instead of reworking the layout, we focused on giving it the facelift it deserved. Bright, airy, and full of personality, this transformation features crisp white cabinetry, a stunning waterfall-edge island, and a unique printed tile backsplash that adds the perfect pop of color and character.

By keeping the existing layout intact, we were able to maximize the impact of every design choice while creating a space that feels completely refreshed, elevated, and ready for everyday living.

These chairs were inherited from my client’s grandmother, and while the bones were still beautiful, the fabric was ready for a new chapter. I know how emotional it can be to change something that’s been handed down through generations — but reupholstery is one of the most meaningful ways to preserve those memories while allowing the piece to live on for another 70 years.

When you refinish, repurpose, or reupholster something, you’re not erasing its story… you’re continuing it.

I provided several fabric options for my client to choose from, and I’m so glad she went with something bold yet subtle. The transformation feels fresh, timeless, and full of life — and my upholsterer absolutely knocked it out of the park!!!

This is the beauty of design: honoring the past while creating something that works beautifully for today.

We brought in character through layered details—wallpaper for added depth, a custom built-in with an electric fireplace as a focal point, and board and batten to give the space structure and interest.

The Lake Project kitchen before & after ✨

This project gave us an absolute run for our money.

What you see in this 10-second transformation took weeks of problem solving, pivoting, and pushing through challenges that at times felt impossible. There were moments where I truly had to dig deep and bring out the passionate (and maybe a little mean) Kendall to get this project across the finish line.

Design projects aren’t always glamorous behind the scenes. This one took blood, sweat, tears, long days, tough conversations, and a whole lot of determination to make the vision come to life. But that’s exactly why this kitchen means so much to me.

Because when a project pushes you this hard… and you still bring it to life exactly how you envisioned it… it becomes something really special.

Hands down, this has been one of the most rewarding projects we’ve completed to date, and seeing this transformation makes every single challenge worth it.
