Sometimes the best solution involves thinking outside the box!

My client had these two heavy blown glass 19” platters that we wanted to mount to the wall as art… as they added a punch of orange to balance out a painting across the room. A typical plate mount not only shows through its translucent glass, but cannot handle the weight of these platters.

So I tried to re-envision how we might be able to mount these… and developed this solution using these brass robe hooks. After doing a study of the required display angle in order to let the plate rest against the wall, I searched for hooks of the correct length and style. … and Voilà!

I’ve been in a world of insane deadlines for the past few months…and just realized I never even shared these site photos from last April! (Um…it’s now November??)

I could just linger in this dreamy bathroom for hours. Seriously, that quartzite…(sigh). You KNOW how much I can gush on about the miracle of these natural slabs…it’s just amazing that they are pulled from the earth. They are truly nature’s masterpieces!!

And that shower? It’s worthy of its own post…you’ll see more on that later. 😉

(and… there might be a camio of yours truly in the house of mirrors 👀)

I know. I haven’t posted in ages...but deadlines for my client’s homes will always be more important, as that’s WHY I do what I do! In the meantime…here’s a picture of me with a monkey. 😜

Seriously though…I’ve been burning the midnight oil for the past few months helping to keep my projects on track, and I’m super excited to eventually share all that I’ve been working on!!

And more seriously… who’s going to buy me a monkey?
