For decades, architecture and construction have been labeled as male-dominated industries. But let’s be clear—women have always belonged here.

Today, women make up 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 of the total workforce, yet the following disparities remain:
🔸 Women represent 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 10% of the construction industry and 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 17% of licensed architects in the U.S.
🔸 𝘓𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 14% of construction firms are owned by women.
🔸 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨? Innovation, collaboration, and success follow.
The numbers tell a story, but they don’t define the impact women have in these fields.

At LAMBERT, we’re proud to have a team of strong, talented women who don’t just participate in this industry, they help lead it and our firm. Heather, Dana, Ashley, and Kelly bring decades of expertise, resilience, and leadership to the table. They’ve earned their place not because they are women, but because they are dang good at what they do.

LAMBERT A+I is excited to announce its partnership with the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDACS) to renovate the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market Moose Café Restaurant. The Moose Cafe, a beloved part of the local community, is located on the grounds of the Robert G. Shaw Piedmont Triad Farmers Market
This “gut renovation” will include all new plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire-protection infrastructure. The updated restaurant will be outfitted to accommodate new food service equipment for a commercial kitchen, an enhanced family dining experience, and a cozy pub dining atmosphere. The renovations will equip the facility to operate as a full-service “all-day café” restaurant, which will be managed by a food service vendor selected by NCDACS.

We invite firms to submit their sealed bids up to 1:00 PM on 02/13/2025. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will occur on-site at 2914 Sandy Ridge Rd, Colfax, NC, on January 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM. We're thrilled to have Chris Phillips back with the team after a brief hiatus! For those of you who haven't had the chance to meet Chris, let us introduce you! With over a decade of architectural expertise across various sectors and sizes, Chris brings a unique perspective shaped by his experiences in some of the world’s most iconic cities, including Tokyo, Paris, Chicago, and New York. His journey has enriched his passion for design that resonates with individuals and communities, always driven by his belief in architecture's power to create impactful spaces.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Chris grew up as the oldest of five siblings—never a dull moment, we can imagine! A Wake Forest alum, he played soccer and started in computer animation before shifting his love for storytelling to blueprints.

Now back in Winston-Salem, Chris is excited to keep telling stories through architecture, fostering connections, and giving back to the community. When he’s not at work, he enjoys being active and spending time outdoors, drawing, and caring for his super-sweet golden doodle and a lively flock of ducks.

Join us in welcoming Chris back to the team! It's hard to tell who is more excited, but we have a feeling it's not his golden doodle. We're overjoyed to have him back, and we’re sure you will be too!
