Not all grout is created equal! There are three main types:

Sanded grout → For joints wider than 1/8"
Best for: Floor tiles, larger format tiles
Why: The sand provides strength for wider gaps

Unsanded grout → For joints narrower than 1/8"
Best for: Wall tiles, delicate surfaces
Why: Won't scratch polished or soft stone

Epoxy grout → For high-moisture areas

Why: Waterproof and stain-resistant (though pricier)

Planning exterior painting this spring? Do this inspection first:

Walk Around Your Home and Check:
• Peeling or bubbling paint (indicates moisture issues)
• Caulk around windows and doors (should be intact)
• Wood rot on trim or siding (needs repair first!)
• Mildew or mold growth (must be treated before painting)
• Nail pops or loose siding boards

Why This Matters:
Painting over problems = wasted money. The paint will fail quickly, and you'll be repainting within 2-3 years instead of getting 7-10 years of protection.
