🌸✨ THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER… WE’RE REOPENING! ✨🌸

After what feels like forever (and a season full of chaos, setbacks, and a whole lot of hard work), The Farmstand is finally reopening this weekend! 🩷

📅 OPEN THIS FRIDAY–SUNDAY
⏰ Hours: 8am to 8pm

This reopening means more than just opening the doors again…

It means we made it through:
💨 relentless winds
☀️ drought-like conditions
⛈️ flooding & storms
🌱 delayed crops
…and plenty of behind-the-scenes challenges most people never see.

But through it all, the flowers kept growing… and so did our determination. 🌻

And now?
The stand is filling back up with beautiful things we’ve been so excited to share with you:

🌻 Fresh-cut bouquets
🥚🍳 Farm fresh EGGS! (in our famous pink cartons)
🛍️ Homemade Jams/Jelly, sauces, and salsa
🍅 Fresh produce we grew ourselves!
💄All Natural products, including our all natural bug spray!
…and more surprises!

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to visit the farmstand, this is it.

Come support local, grab flowers or other goodies, and help us kick off this season in the best way possible.

🌸 THEY’RE STARTING! 🌸

The first zinnias of the season are finally beginning to bloom, and if these early flowers are any indication, this summer is going to be absolutely beautiful. 💕

After months of battling relentless winds, delayed planting, drought conditions, flooding, w**ds, and every challenge imaginable, seeing these first colorful blooms feels like a little victory.

And this is just the beginning.

Over the next few weeks, these tiny pops of color will turn into rows and rows of armful-worthy blooms in shades of blush, peach, coral, pink, yellow, red, and more. 🌿✨

If you’ve been following along and patiently waiting for flower season, we’re getting closer every day. Soon there will be fresh-cut bouquets, flower bar blooms, photo opportunities, and buckets overflowing with flowers here at The Freckled Farmer.

Who else is ready for a summer filled with flowers? 🌸☀️

Drop a 🌸 in the comments if you’re excited for bouquet season!

✨Attention customers ✨

I’ve made the decision to simplify this year, given all the setbacks. So for the 2026 season we will NOT be offering baked goods at all. Not by pre-order, not at the stand on weekends or holidays, NOT AT ALL.

We WILL have:

• Cut flowers (bouquets, by bulk/bucket, build your own bouquet bars, etc.) 🌻🌸🌼

• Farm fresh eggs 🐣🥚

• Fresh Produce 🌽🥔🫑🍅

• Homemade jams and jellies 💜💕

• Homemade salsas and pasta sauces 🍅🥫

• Pickles & pickled green beans 🥒🫛

• Houseplants 🪴🌱

• Gifts: books, jewelry, candles, etc 🩷

Please know this decision came with a lot of thought and as a full-time working, mom of 2 in sports, and one-woman show currently…I just cannot do it all AND do it the way it’s suppose to be done AND keep my sanity. It’s quite simply too much for one or even 2 people to manage right now.

This season continues to challenge me in ways it never has in my last 5 years of farming. Sometimes perseverance looks a lot like “simplification”, and this is one of those times it HAS to in order to keep my little business afloat.

Thanks for understanding!

If you've been wondering why I've been a little shorter and way more quiet than usual this Spring, here's the honest truth.

I almost quit. Last week, I sat in the middle of the overwhelm, crying, asking my husband to just mow it ALL down for me…for the first time EVER in our 10 years together he actually told me a stern, loud “NO”.

This season has tested me and us in ways I never expected.

First came the near-constant winds right when it was time to seed and plant. Days and days of trying to work around high winds that made even the simplest farm task of putting seeds in the soil feel impossible. Packages of seeds literally blew away. This was after we received the wrong seeds in the first place and had to battle to get the right ones here in time.

Then came drought-like conditions. The ground was so dry that getting anything to germinate was impossible.

Just when we finally started gaining momentum, the skies flood gates opened up. Weeks of storms and torrential downpours brought an explosion of w**d pressure that threatened our tiny, delayed seedlings…and actually killed a lot of them. The non-stop rain also halted progress on our pink greenhouse project that I was so excited to share with all of you.

In the middle of all of that, I found myself battling kidney stones at a time when the farm was already falling behind schedule.

And if that wasn't enough, damage to our water system caused by someone else's mistake flooded the farm-stand this week, has delayed our reopening and leaving our second and third successions of seeds waterlogged and potentially ruined.

There have been moments this Spring when I've stood in the middle of the farm wondering what else could possibly go wrong and if ALL of this was a sign that maybe it’s time to chalk this year up as a loss and try again next year.

But here's what I know…
Flowers don't quit growing after a storm.
And neither do farmers.

Despite every setback, there are seedlings still reaching for the sun. There are blooms coming. The greenhouse will be finished eventually. The farm-stand doors will reopen eventually. And this little flower farm that has weathered every challenge thrown at it WILL bloom again.

Thank you for reading this depressing novel and continuing to follow along. Please, more than ever, consider shopping local, and support this dream. Your encouragement means more than you'll ever know.

If you're still excited to see what this farm becomes this year, drop a 🌻 in the comments so I know you're still here with me. Lord knows I need the positivity.

⚠️THE FARM STAND WILL NOT OPEN AS PLANNED THIS WEEKEND. ⚠️

Someone ran over our newly replaced water spicket right beside the farm stand and has created a giant mess for us to fix AGAIN.

Maybe next weekend y’all will act right, use your mirrors, or just simply tell us you hit something on accident so we can fix it BEFORE the weekend 🙃
