THIS is going to be GOOD!

What’s the one thing farmers are always talking about and the biggest concern? The weather! It affects us in seed germination, growth rates and harvesting in all aspects of agriculture. As the climate continues to change understanding and planning for the coming seasons is vital. Whether it’s a heat dome, a polar vortex or flooding it all has a big impact on farmers. This year's Focus on Farming & Forestry Conference will feature Eric Snodgrass as our lunchtime keynote speaker. Eric is renowned in the ag community for his understanding of agriculture and the role weather plays. He helps farmers look ahead while explaining what factors impact weather long term. He has a strong understand of the PNW and our crazy weather patterns. He is a Senior Science Fellow and Atmospheric Scientist at Nutrien Ag Solutions who develops predictive, analytical software solutions to manage weather risk for global production agriculture. His current research uses machine learning to better understand field-level weather impacts on yields in the US and to increase confidence in long-range weather prediction.
