This one was a good one.

Front porch had settled almost 3 inches after the center column failed. You could see it in the roofline—it was only going to get worse.

Instead of tearing it apart, I lifted it back into place, rebuilt the support system underneath, and tied everything back together the way it should’ve been done from the start.

Solid. Level. Locked in.

Honestly, it’s stronger now than when it was originally built.

I don’t just replace things—I figure out why they failed and fix the problem at its root.

I grew up fast.

The first time I was carrying studs on a job site, I was 10 years old.
At 12, I got pulled out of school to help set trusses — a man’s job.
And I was damn proud of it.

By 14, I was working full-time.

So was it a good thing or a bad thing?

It was both.

I learned how to work.
I learned discipline.
I learned how to build.

But I also lost my childhood early.
I didn’t get to play the way most kids do.

And here’s the interesting part…

At 42 years old, I’m finally building something new.

Wild Man Built.

And now?

What used to be work… feels like play.

Remodeling a bathroom.
Transforming a space.
Taking something worn down and making it beautiful again.

I just completed a full bathroom remodel in 21 hours — something that would take most crews a week.

That’s the gift.

All those years of hard work didn’t just teach me how to grind.
They wired me to move efficiently, to see the whole picture, to execute at a high level.

So yeah… maybe I didn’t get to play much as a kid.

But now?

I get to play for a living.
