Between the wind and hail storms we’ve had lately, we’ve been out checking a LOT of roofs for storm damage across the area.

And with storms comes an increase in roofers going door to door offering inspections and estimates, which is why we wanted to share a few things homeowners should look out for when hiring a roofing company

We recently went out to a home with a ceiling leak that just wouldn’t go away.

The homeowner had already had two other companies come out to “fix” it… but the problem kept coming back. When we got there, one of the first things we did was get into the attic. Sure enough, if the other roofers had gotten in the attic they would have seen the problem area was feet away from what they were trying to remedy.

Which is exactly why this matters:
If someone is trying to diagnose a leak without ever stepping foot in your attic… they’re guessing.

A proper inspection goes deeper than what you can see from the outside.
If something’s been “fixed” but keeps coming back, it might be time for a second look
