What do networking, artwork, and pest control have in common?

That’s exactly what Denise Holguin of Home Run Pest & Termite Control will be exploring during her 5-Minute Spotlight at the Friday Morning at the Plano Chamber meeting on July 24th.

Denise will share the story of how she found her role at Home Run Pest & Termite Control, why creativity plays such an important part in her work, and why there always seem to be props involved.

She’ll also share why so many of her lifelong interests unexpectedly connect to the work she does today. 😂

Looking back, there were probably clues. For example, she’s apparently been collecting fake bugs for most of her life in preparation for this moment. 🐜🪳🕷️

If you’ve ever wondered what handcrafted artwork, Chamber networking, and protecting homes from pests have in common, join us and find out.

Warning: There may be a small tornado of artistic Chamber chaos. 🎨🐜🪳🌪️

Pest control is not a one time solution because pest activity changes throughout the year. Seasonal shifts, weather patterns, and environmental conditions all influence how pests behave.

A single treatment may eliminate current pests, but new ones can enter if protection is not maintained. Preventative service creates a barrier that reduces ongoing risk.

Home Run Pest & Termite Control provides consistent treatments designed to adapt to seasonal pest patterns across North Texas communities.

Ongoing service ensures homes remain protected, not just treated once.

The In2Care Mosquito System is designed to target mosquitoes where it matters most—at the breeding stage. Instead of only killing adult mosquitoes, this system disrupts their life cycle, preventing future generations from developing.

By attracting mosquitoes to treated stations, the system allows them to spread control agents to other breeding sites. This creates a ripple effect that significantly reduces mosquito populations over time.

For homeowners, this means more effective and longer-lasting results compared to traditional treatments. It’s a smarter, more strategic approach to keeping outdoor spaces comfortable and mosquito-free.

Moisture is one of the leading factors that attract pests to your home, especially termites. When water accumulates near your foundation, it creates the perfect environment for pests to thrive and eventually find their way indoors.

Simple issues such as clogged gutters, improper drainage, or leaking outdoor fixtures can slowly increase moisture levels around your home. Over time, this can weaken structures and invite infestations that are costly to resolve.

Taking a few minutes to inspect your home regularly can make a significant difference. Ensuring proper drainage and addressing moisture problems early helps protect both your home and your investment.
