Your lower level has more potential than you think. 🏡

This Grand Rapids basement remodel transformed an unfinished space into a fully finished guest suite and family gathering area. There’s now a comfortable bedroom for overnight stays, a spacious bathroom, and a welcoming space to relax with friends and family.

Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and a built-in media center keeps storage seamless. A kitchenette with a fridge and dishwasher adds convenience. Even the laundry and utility room was upgraded with a sink and added storage to make everyday tasks easier.

More room to host. More room to live. And square footage that finally works as hard as the rest of the house.

It’s hard to believe this is the same kitchen. 😮

What was once dark, dated, and closed in now feels bright, open, and completely refreshed. Goodbye dropped ceiling and heavy finishes. Hello breathing room, clean lines, and a space that finally works the way it should!

White cabinetry keeps things light, while gray flooring and black hardware add contrast and character. We love how small layout adjustments and smart planning made the space feel larger, brighter, and more functional.

From the first conversations to the final walkthrough, Marilyn and Jim knew what to expect, who would be in their home, and when. What started as a tight, dated space is now bright, charming, and built for everyday life. By removing a wall and reworking the layout, we combined a cramped bath and small bedroom into one space the whole family can actually use and enjoy.
