A gardener at Sticks & Stones will have responsibilities at the shop, at the job site, with select vendors, and at the Transfer Station. This position reports directly to the Foreman and may manage up to 3 gardening assistants.
Responsible for plant care and garden maintenance on select properties. Tasks will include raking, edging, w**ding, mulching, fertilizing, watering, planting, pruning, and general care for annuals, perennials, and woody plants.
Responsible for routine clean up during jobs and maintaining a tidy job site and shop, including cleaning trucks & large equipment, organizing and maintaining hand tools, misc. shop tasks.
Use of small power tools including but not limited to w**d whacker, push mower, leaf blower, and hedge trimmer. (On-job training available)
Must be able to follow written or spoken directions and work well with others or alone.
Must be able and willing to drive work trucks and trailers with materials and/or debris (On-job training available)
Job entails outdoor work in all elements and proper attire/skin protection is necessary.
Job requires bending/squatting, lifting up to 50lbs, and shoveling for duration.
Gardening/landscaping experience required.
Must have reliable transportation to job sites or the shop.
