I had typed out a long caption for this post and Meta lost it when I hit “post” 😭 So here’s the shorter version.
There’s plenty blooming in the field to make a bouquet, but you’ll have to walk around the 0.8 acre field to see everything. I had 0% germination in May/June (yep, not a single seed grew) so that means the field doesn’t look impressive right now. No sea of flowers to look at and take photos in.
If you’re planning a day trip to Yellow Springs, stop by the farm and pick a bouquet. If you live in the Dayton/Springfield/Xenia area, come on over a pick a bouquet. It’s a great time for that!
If you’re a photographer, this probably isn’t the time to bring clients by for a photo session. If you live far away and want to make a trip just to pick flowers, now’s probably not the time. But I wouldn’t recommend coming to Yellow Springs just to pick a bouquet anyway - there’s so much to see and stores to shop and several delicious restaurants to chose from, you really should make a trip out of it and do more than just visit my farm.
I’m still transplanting new things on the farm, and September/October should be better.
Whew. Maybe that wasn’t such a short version. 😆
