The Yoakum Garden Club held its Spring Plant & Bake Sale on Friday, May 8th. We appreciate the hard work of our members and the support of the community. All proceeds from the sale are used to fund scholarships for high school seniors.

The Yoakum Garden Club met on April 15 at YCH with 14 members, electing new officers starting in September: Debra Chandler (President),
Cindy Mucala (Vice-President),
Judy Reid (Treasurer), Rita Kasper (Secretary), Georgie Smith (Horticulture),
Marie Terreo (Ways n Means),
Holly Heinsohn (Corresponding Secretary), and
Polly Wright (Media).

The scholarship committee announced their top picks for the 2026 awards, which were unanimously approved.

The club's next event is our luncheon on Wednesday, May 20 from 11am-1pm at the Zimmerman party room, 481 west Hwy 111. Members are asked to bring finger foods and if desired a secret sister gift

Rita presented information on edible plants and Cindy won the raffle bag.
