Unfortunately, due to some ongoing health issues that took a pretty unexpected turn and have landed me in the hospital, I’m sad to say that I will not be able to make it to Simla Days this Monday. 😔

I’m incredibly disappointed to miss everyone, but I’m still here — just hanging out in my hospital room for a little while — and I’m absolutely still working to make sure you can get your Lil Rancher Homestead goodies and Christmas gifts! 🎄🛍️

Pickles are officially DONE for the year! 🥒🎉 My bread & butter pickles turned out absolutely perfect, and I can’t wait to crack into the spicy ones! 🌶️ Now it’s on to cowboy candy and jalapeño jelly, and trust me… canning season isn’t even halfway done yet! 😍 We’ve still got plenty of preserving, cooking, and homesteading to do around here!

🌾🍂 School is back in session here on the ranch! 🍂🌾

We’re officially settling into a brand-new routine around here — and this year, I’ve got TWO little ranchers learning at the kitchen table! 📚🐄❤️

Our days are becoming the perfect mix of lessons, ranch life, and all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps Lil Rancher Homestead going. And honestly… I wouldn’t have it any other way! 🥰

Between spelling words and math lessons, I’m squeezing in time to start creating some NEW fresh fall soap scents. 🍎🍂🧼 I’m already dreaming up all the cozy, warm, sweet scents that make you want to wrap up in a blanket and stay home all day!

And then there’s CANNING. 😂 Because apparently school starting wasn’t enough work!

Today’s haul included pickling cucumbers and 20 POUNDS of jalapeños! 🌶️🥒

That means cowboy candy and fresh jalapeño jelly are officially on this week’s to-do list. And I’m working on getting our garden veggies prepped, preserved, and tucked away for the year. 🫙🌱

So if you see me disappearing between homeschool lessons, soap making, canning, ranch chores, and chasing two little ones… you’ll know exactly where I am! 😂

It’s busy. It’s messy. It’s a little chaotic.

But it’s fall on the homestead, and I am SO ready for it. 🍂🤎🌾

Here’s to a new school year, new scents, full pantry shelves, and another season of doing what we love right here on our little ranch. 🐄📚🧼🫙

🌶️🥒 Fresh batch of spicy pickled spears! 🥒🌶️

These are packed with red onions, bell peppers, garlic, and Thai chilis for a serious kick! 🔥

Fresh cucumbers + all those bold flavors = these are going to be some AWESOME spicy pickle spears. 😍

Now comes the hardest part… waiting for them to be ready! 😂🥒🔥

🥒 Pickling season has officially arrived at Lil Rancher Homestead! 🌿
The cucumbers are rolling in faster than we can pick them, and we're not complaining! This batch is destined for jars of crisp, homemade goodness. We're thinking classic Bread & Butter Pickles for those sweet-and-tangy lovers, plus a Spicy Garlic Dill version with a little extra kick. 🌶️🫙
Nothing beats stocking the pantry with food grown right here on the ranch. Here's to preserving a little taste of summer, one jar at a time! 💚

Today we're all set up at Ramah Days and it's shaping up to be an absolutely beautiful day! ☀️🤠

Come enjoy the parade at 10 AM, cheer on the pie-eating contest, and spend the day celebrating where history meets modern-day fun. It's a wonderful community event filled with local ranchers, farmers, vendors, and plenty to see and do.

How is this the same kitten that spent all day chasing the kids, biting toes, climbing up my skirts, and causing complete chaos? 😂🐾
Now she's out cold, sleeping like an angel... as if she wasn't the tiny tornado behind all the mischief! I guess being adorable is exhausting. 💕😴

Ramah Days is almost here, and we're packing up and getting everything ready! 🤠
