At AGD, we strive to do what's best for the customer, even if it means we don't make a sale. Last week, an older man called saying he couldn't raise his garage door—he suspected a broken spring. After discussing the issue, it seemed he needed a new opener, which starts at $600 installed. We scheduled an appointment, but he called back a short time later, to cancel. He explained they were renting, and the landlord wouldn't be able to fix it for awhile. I felt for him and didn't want him to lose garage access for so long. So, I offered to stop by and adjust the door to work manually, free of charge. This won't be a lasting fix, but it will work for a little while. He was very grateful. I don't like seeing people stranded, so I felt it was the neighborly thing to do.
