🚨 SEVERE STORM WARNING FOR INDIANA TONIGHT 🚨

A powerful line of storms is expected to move across Indiana after 7 PM tonight (Sunday, March 15th) and could bring some serious weather with it!

Forecasters are warning about the potential for:
🌪️ Tornadoes
💨 Damaging wind gusts up to 80 MPH
🧊 Large hail capable of damaging roofs, siding, and gutters

Storms with wind speeds like this can easily tear shingles off roofs, dent siding, damage gutters and create leaks that most homeowners don’t notice right away.

Most storm damage cannot be seen from the ground. Many homeowners don’t realize their roof was damaged until many months later when leaks start appearing inside the home. ⚠️

After this storm system moves out, I’ll be offering FREE exterior inspections for homeowners in the area that were directly impacted by the storm.

Small Nail… Big Problem

On a roof, even something as small as a “nail pop” can lead to serious damage.

A nail pop happens when the nail holding a shingle down slowly works its way up. This can be caused by temperature changes, roof movement or improper installation.

When that nail lifts, it leaves a tiny hole in your roof and that’s all water needs.

Over time, that small opening can allow moisture to enter your roofing system, leading to leaks, wood rot, mold and premature roof failure.

The good news?
Catching nail pops early is usually a quick, simple and very affordable repair.

If you ever notice raised shingles, exposed nails on your roof or random nails in your gutters, it’s worth having it checked before that small problem becomes a much larger and more costly one. 👀

This weeks is dedicated to Officer Brian Elliot of the Beech Grove Police Department who made the ultimate sacrifice yesterday while proudly protecting his community. ❤️

I had the pleasure of working alongside Brian during our time together at the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. My thoughts & prayers go out to Brians family, his wife Erin, the entire Beech Grove Police Department, the community of Beech Grove and all of those who had the honor and privilege of knowing Brian.

“You’ve done your time in hell, now it’s time to walk the streets of Heaven”

A message from Beech Grove Police Chief Michael Maurice:

"It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that today we lost one of our very own, Officer Brian Elliott. Officer Elliott, along with two other Beech Grove Police Department officers, was dispatched at 6:08 p.m. to the 100 block of Diplomat Court for a disturbance. After they arrived, Officer Elliott and another officer were shot. Both officers were rushed to Eskenazi Hospital, but despite the best lifesaving efforts by medical personnel, Officer Elliott succumbed to his injuries. The other officer, who we are not naming at this time, is currently in stable condition and is expected to survive.

My heart goes out to Brian’s wife, Erin, his parents, and all of his family, friends, and loved ones. At this time, I am asking that we lean on one another to get through this.

We are grateful to the team at Eskenazi Hospital, and our law enforcement and community partners for their extraordinary response and support."
