Please help if you can
We are still desperately trying to raise funds for our FREE spay neuter event. Even though it is free to residents the ACC still has to cover the cost of putting an event like this on. This event is for the overall health and wellness of the islands animals. Our shelter and other shelters in the territory are overrun with unwanted dogs and cats. The overpopulation of the dogs and cats has become almost unmanageable.
Visiting Veterinarians International will be bringing a team of 15 vets down. The event will take place November 8, 9, 10, 11 at the Gifft Hill School gymnasium (upper campus) from 8am-3pm each of those days. Expenses include lodging, vehicles, supplies both medical and general, food, live animal traps, etc. We hope to raise $65,000 to make this event happen. Currently we are $40,000 short.
Again this event is free to residents. If you have a dog or cat that you would like spay/neutered please contact the ACC at 340 774 1625, email [email protected] for more information regarding the event. ACC staff and volunteers will also be trapping free roaming cats across the island. We have seen more kittens this spring/summer than in years past. We hope to catch 200 cats over 4 days for spay/neuter.
This is the first time we have done a large scale spay/neuter event like this and donations are critical to make it successful. If you would like to donate to our cause you can donate through our Go Fund Me campaign, or our donate link via PayPal. If you would like to make donations outside of these platforms you can contact the ACC office for other donation options.
