【大阪万博 オーストラリア・パビリオン使用材 再生＠静岡】
大阪万博終了後、オーストラリア・パビリオンで使用されたユーカリ材を、静岡で新たなかたちに生まれ変わらせる施設のデザイン提案を行いました。

本提案は、静岡エコウッド景観協同組合の倉田さんとご一緒させていただいたものです。

この取り組みを通じて、未来の静岡の子どもたちに、大阪万博の記憶やオーストラリアとのつながり、そしてサステナブルな建築や都市のあり方が、自然なかたちで伝わっていくことを願っています。
実現に向けて、引き続き関わっていければ幸いです。

[Refining Materials from the Australia Pavilion at Expo Osaka in Shizuoka]

Following the Expo Osaka, we proposed a design for a facility in Shizuoka that reimagines the eucalyptus timber used in the Australia Pavilion.

This proposal was developed in collaboration with Mr. Kurata from the Shizuoka Eco-Wood Landscape Cooperative.

Through this project, we hope that future generations in Shizuoka will naturally come to understand the legacy of Expo Osaka, the connection with Australia, and the possibilities of sustainable architecture and urban development.

We sincerely hope this proposal will come to fruition. 表示を縮小

Today, as part of Vietnam Building Week 2025, we received the LOTUS SI Platinum certification for our office space— the result of many small, thoughtful decisions coming together.

We achieved:
🌡️ 28% improvement in AC efficiency (COP)
💧 Handwashing water recycled for flushing
☀️ 80% daylight sufficiency
🔄 48% of furniture and 61% of materials reused or sustainably sourced

From choosing a building with strong daylight and AC performance to negotiating for fresh air supply and avoiding unnecessary false ceiling being installed from the landlord — every step aimed at healthier, more sustainable operation. Standing desks, ceiling fans, filtered water, and air quality monitoring rounded out the vision for a better woring environment.

I'm grateful to our in-house design and sustainability teams for their dedication and creativity in making this possible, as well as the interior contractors who responded to our unique green requirments.

The focus is on Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) — exploring how to effectively connect and integrate the new railway system with the existing transportation networks.
The key challenge lies in designing the station area as a functional and efficient transportation hub that enhances mobility and accessibility for the entire district.
