Hale Homestay | 2026
Dự án khởi đầu từ một mong muốn tưởng như rất giản dị: không gian không cần lớn hơn, mà cần “thở” sâu hơn. Thay vì gia tăng diện tích, thiết kế lựa chọn mở rộng trải nghiệm – nơi ánh sáng, không khí và cảm xúc được dẫn dắt liền mạch, len lỏi qua từng lớp không gian.
Khoảng sân rộng trước kia của nhà xưởng – gần như đứng ngoài câu chuyện của kiến trúc – được nhìn nhận như điểm chạm đầu tiên của sự tái sinh. Từ đó, không gian được tách lớp bằng sự ngăn tầng của mái, cầu thang và hành lang, tạo nên chiều sâu và một nhịp tiếp cận mới mẻ. Không gian không còn được bước vào một cách vội vã, mà mở ra qua những khoảng đệm chuyển tiếp – nơi mọi người ở có thể chậm lại, nghe tiếng gió khẽ lùa, dõi theo chuyển động của bóng nắng và cảm nhận sự thay đổi tinh tế trước khi thực sự “ở” trong công trình.
Trên nền sân, từng viên gạch được lát thủ công như một hành động chậm rãi và có chủ đích. Sự thay đổi không nằm ở những cấu trúc lớn lao, mà ở sự chăm chút cho từng lớp bề mặt, từng khoảnh khắc tiếp cận. Chính từ những can thiệp nhỏ ấy, công trình dần được tiếp thêm sinh khí – nhẹ nhàng nhưng đủ để làm mới toàn bộ trải nghiệm không gian.

The project began with a seemingly simple aspiration: the space did not need to be larger, but to breathe more deeply. Rather than increasing floor area, the design seeks to expand experience — allowing light, air, and emotion to flow seamlessly, weaving gently through layered spatial sequences.
The expansive courtyard of the former workshop — once almost excluded from the architectural narrative — was reimagined as the first point of renewal. From there, the space is articulated through layered thresholds formed by the stratification of roofs, staircases, and corridors, creating depth and a renewed rhythm of approach. Entry is no longer abrupt; instead, it unfolds through transitional buffers where occupants can slow down, listen to the wind passing softly through, observe the shifting patterns of sunlight, and sense subtle changes before truly inhabiting the space.
Across the courtyard surface, each brick is laid by hand — a deliberate and unhurried gesture. The transformation lies not in grand structural moves, but in the careful attention to each layer, each tactile surface, each moment of arrival. Through these modest interventions, the building gradually regains vitality — gentle in expression, yet profound enough to renew the entire spatial experience.
