arb architects vinh dự được xướng tên là người chiến thắng tại AR Emerging Awards 2025 - giải thưởng quốc tế uy tín ra đời từ năm 1999 nhằm tôn vinh các kiến trúc sư triển vọng trên toàn cầu. Giải thưởng này từng ghi danh những tên tuổi lớn của đương đại như Shigeru Ban, Carla Juaçaba, Thomas Heatherwick hay Frida Escobedo. Năm nay, arb architects tự hào đứng cạnh 14 văn phòng xuất sắc khác đến từ 12 quốc gia trong danh sách đề cử.
Hội đồng giám khảo - bao gồm Kashef Chowdhury, Martin Rauch và Catharine Rossi - đã đánh giá cao arb architects bởi một thực hành kiến trúc “tôn vinh nghề thủ công, ký ức và văn hóa phi vật thể, đồng thời tái sử dụng các cấu trúc hiện hữu và vật liệu địa phương”. Ban giám khảo đặc biệt ca ngợi KTS Nguyễn Hà - người sáng lập văn phòng - như “vừa là một kiến trúc sư, vừa là một nhà hoạt động và vận động tích cực”, khẳng định hướng tiếp cận này “mang những giá trị vượt ra ngoài biên giới Việt Nam.”
Quan trọng hơn hết, giải thưởng này không trao cho một công trình đơn lẻ, mà là sự công nhận dành cho toàn bộ quá trình hành nghề của arb architects. Đó là một thực hành bền bỉ, nhân văn, kiên định với thủ công, với ký ức và với mối quan hệ sống động giữa con người và nơi chốn. arb architects has been honored as the winner of the AR Emerging Awards 2025 - a prestigious international award established in 1999 to celebrate promising architectural talent globally. The award has previously celebrated careers of contemporary luminaries such as Shigeru Ban, Carla Juaçaba, Thomas Heatherwick, and Frida Escobedo. This year, arb architects proudly stood alongside 14 other outstanding practices from 12 countries on the shortlist.
The jury - which included Kashef Chowdhury, Martin Rauch, and Catharine Rossi - highly commended arb architects for an architectural practice that “champions handcraft, memory, and intangible culture, while reusing existing structures and local materials.” The judges specifically praised founder, Architect Nguyễn Hà, as “as much an activist and advocate as an architect,” emphasizing that this approach “has relevance beyond Vietnam.”
Crucially, this award is not given for a single project, but is recognition for the entire career and body of work demonstrated by arb architects. It is an enduring, humane practice, consistent in its dedication to craft, memory, and the vibrant relationship between people and place.
