Producing a Biofold door with uPVC profiles (aluplast) is not particularly difficult. It requires meticulous attention to detail and precise control of dimensions, ensuring tolerances are within ±1mm.

It is crucial to have in-depth knowledge of the production process and all the specifications of the hardware used. A thorough understanding of the formula for calculating the sash width is essential, and this formula is typically provided by hardware companies. Once you understand the inputs and variables that the formula is based on, you can produce accurate outputs. These outputs should be cross-checked by simulating on 2D drawings to verify their accuracy. Practice with the formula and conduct tests with various schemes and inputs to validate your results.

Each panel's sash width varies depending on the hinges (both on the frames and between the sashes), the brackets, rollers, and the gap space between connecting panels. The door functions correctly when the sashes move easily, close tightly, and the hardware operates smoothly in their correct positions. When the door is open, all the sashes should fold neatly together, maintaining a 90-degree angle. The roller, bracket, and hinges should hold the sashes in a straight vertical line.

Problems typically arise when the sash width dimensions are incorrect due to miscalculations, excessive tolerances in cutting and welding, or using hinges from different suppliers without adjusting the formula inputs. These issues can prevent the sashes from folding and opening correctly at 90 degrees and can cause the hardware to malfunction or break due to misalignment.

We are confident in our ability to produce perfect Biofold doors in various configurations (we have successfully made 10-5-5 doors) using aluplast profiles.
