What used to be a family coconut farm has been turned into a stunningly beautiful retreat right on the Mekong River. We give you a full tour of the property including all the prices of accommodation, delicious, authentic, home cooked foods and tours.
We based ourselves here and explore the real Mekong Delta by boat, sampan and an original Lambro 550 tuk tuk.

We spend a slow, beautiful day, exploring and eating our way through Chinatown in Saigon (Chợ Lớn) — one of the most fascinating and underrated parts of Ho Chi Minh City.

From the deliciously famous Dumpling Street in District 5 to hidden 100-year-old heritage apartments, this day is all about incredible food, history, and atmosphere. We eat sủi cảo (Cantonese dumplings), try traditional Chinatown desserts, visit a peaceful Taoist temple, and wander through Bình Tây Market (Chợ Bình Tây) — one of the largest markets in Saigon.

Chợ Lớn feels different from the rest of the city — slower, deeper, and full of stories.
If you’re visiting Ho Chi Minh City, Chinatown in District 5 is a place you don’t want to miss.

The War Remnants Museum, Independence Palace, and the hidden Secret Weapon Cellar.

This was a very sad and confronting experience. Some moments were hard to process, but we learned so much and are truly glad we came. Understanding this history gives us an even deeper respect for Vietnam and its incredible, resilient, beautiful people.
