Did you know the 🌱 Alocasia Poseidon makes its own little “baby plants” underground?
They’re called corms (pronounced “korms”), but a lot of plant lovers call them little eggs because that’s what they look like! 🥚✨
Under the soil, the mother plant grows these tiny round corms around its roots. A corm is basically a sleeping baby plant waiting to grow 🌿
Here’s the cool part:
Big mother plant → baby corms grow underground → you remove them → plant them → a whole new Alocasia grows 😍
It’s kind of like potatoes growing baby potatoes underground!
The corms are usually:
🤎 Brown on the outside
🤍 Light or white inside
🌰 About the size of a marble or tiny egg
How to grow them:
1️⃣ Gently remove the corm
2️⃣ Peel off the hard outer layer if needed
3️⃣ Place it in damp moss, perlite, or soil
4️⃣ Keep it warm and humid
5️⃣ Wait for roots and a tiny leaf to appear 🌱
Watching a tiny corm turn into a beautiful new Alocasia is honestly one of the most exciting things for plant lovers!!!
