The restaurant was designed to have the best contact with its natural surroundings, creating interiors where one can always admire the beautiful scenery. Considering the environmental impact, the buildings existing construction was kept, emphasizing a commitment to sustainable practices and a reduced ecological footprint.

The existing landscape was the key component that guided the materials and colors selection. A contrasting black wooden façade was chosen to accentuate the nature around it, ensuring the focus remains on the landscape. The use of natural colors in the interior was essential to mimic the hues of the surrounding environment.

RED SET

The apartment was designed in alignment with the needs of the client, a hardworking programmer and business owner wanting a space to relax and switch off but have social gatherings every now and then.
The main feature of the design is the red arched bookshelf, which then transforms into a line and continues throughout the apartment. Besides its main purpose, the bookshelf acts as a translucent division between the living and kitchen area. Being the centrepiece, its role is to connect the spaces through the stripe on one hand, and to separate through the bookshelf on the other hand. The red line on the ceiling also indicates the walk from the entrance throughout the corridor and into the living/dining area where the bookshelf takes place.

Shtepia e djathit / House of cheese

A small cheese shop with selected produce from farms of north and south of Albania. The idea of the project was to create a welcoming space that invites people to have a sensory experience as they select produce. A place where the client would feel comfortable to take their time while shopping for their favorite cheese.

Inspired from the traditional house roof silhouette, the main accent of the space is a roof translated in an abstract way. Wrapped in a black roof, the space punctuates the place where the produce takes the center stage. The black color was purposely used to be in juxtaposition with the color of cheese.

BACK TO PR apartment

Located in the city center of Prishtina, overviewing the Palace of Youth and Sports, this one-bedroom apartment was designed to accommodate a diaspora family during their visits on their hometown.

The living space was unified by taking down the walls that separated the kitchen, pantry, and hallway, creating a continuous space, articulated by a central panel. Consisted of metal pipes, the panel becomes the element to visually separate the space as well as serve as a tv stand on one side and a kitchen bar on the other.

Scaffolding STAGE

Designed to be easy dissembled, two side stages/pavilions were created to complement the main stage for a Music Festival in Prishtina 2016. Since the stage would stay there only temporarily, the main design element was the scaffolding that was rented from a construction company nearby, and returned after the festival was finished.

Scaffolding acts as a wireframe for the blue rope to create an exciting and fun spatial drawing for the music festival.

VOFFICE

A co-working space designed to give a variety of options to make the most out of your work day!

Different rooms, different moods!

While some spaces are meant to foster individual work, others are designed for group work. Some spaces are for resting and reading, others for snacking or drinking coffee. The whole interior is designed to be able to select a location according to the mood you’re in or want to be, consequently making you feel at ease and productive.

‘Green islands’ were used throughout the interior in order to improve health and convenience for people using the space.

Blue has been proven to increase concentration and productivity, and while it was used in the meeting and conference room, the glass panels allow for the color to be experienced throughout most of the space.

The management office is separated with glass followed by a perforated wooden panel; while these panels allow a visual connection, they also create a physical separation, sound control and allow the spaces to be more private.

Overall the office is an open plan allowing for flexibility of changing desks or adding further seating if the company grows further, but then again it also has the privacy needed for the management team and the meeting room.

BLUE serenity

This apartment showcases our take on using the color blue. PANTONE has chosen Blue as color of the year 2020.

Located in the newest exuberant area in Prishtina, Rruga B, this apartment belongs to a young programmer. He wanted a calm, yet young atmosphere for escaping the daily work routine. The strategy was to use grey elements and materials with a splash of blue.
Grey – given it is virtually absent of color, it draws no attention to itself, hence leaving the attention to the streak of Blue which is used to punctuate, boost and to create a young but at the same time tranquil atmosphere.
