觀照與欣賞 Appreciation and Reflexivity
從觀察大自然的種種，增進欣賞的角度、明白感恩的重要和自省能力的強弱。
An effective approach to strengthen reflexivity is to enhance appreciation for the self and the natural environment.
龍舌蘭比其他植物的生長究竟有甚麼獨特之處讓我們有所體會呢？它的形態，由根部到些微的葉掌變化，潛藏着很多的訊息，如果有足夠細緻的觀察，我們可以了解到他的需要而作相對的回應，讓她長成一個優美的狀。培育過程中當然有不可控的部分，但龍舌蘭對環境的敏感度其實是引導我們更細膩的閱讀環境，因為她一邊以耐力長成適應環境變化、一邊給予時間讓人了解她每棵的微細分別。觀察圖中的樹冰在最初的母本體和側芽長成到現在白斑和白絲纖維的分佈，在庭園剪裁過的樹形成對比，發現原來粗糙都能形成細緻的優美。
When you see the indistinct changes in how the agave grows and forms, you will gradually learn how to interact with the plant and give it the best care with proper judgement, this process takes time, knowledge, patience and experience, different parts of the agave’s body as a whole send various signals to us, which are significant cues for us to understand its needs. The nurturing and the growing form a particular interaction, as each agave may respond very differently to the environment that growers create. Meanwhile, the plant teaches us how to comprehend the changes in the nuances of our surroundings. Agave forms a kind of beauty from roughness, just like the growth of the Toumeyana ssp. Bella with a good scale of the fibres extended out from its leaves.
