Isn’t this clinic simply adorable? 😍

It was a pleasure for our team to help Dr. Amber Ingersoll of Sheridan Pet Care turn this former coffee shop in Sheridan, Wyoming into a wonderful home for her growing veterinary practice. With a recessed scale, a treat station, and comfortable furniture for pets in the exam rooms (cat tree, anyone?), this clinic strives to minimize stress for patients and create a pleasant experience for clients.

It’s time for another ! We’re excited to introduce you to another member of the Animal Arts team.

Meet Christian Pierrottet, one of our talented designers! Christian received his Master of Architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (go Cornhuskers!) and has been with our firm for close to five years. He has been involved in a variety of projects at Animal Arts, including Arizona Humane Society and Liberty Dogs.

Prior to joining our team, Christian worked as the head of a kitchen at a restaurant, where he coordinated chaos and made excellent pizzas. While he now works more with floor plans than food, his love of cooking remains strong! Outside of the office you will find Christian experimenting with new recipes, rock hounding, or spending time with his three kitties, Oliver, Zora, and Nova.

Happy AAHA-Accredited Hospital Day! 🩺🏥

Achieving accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is no easy feat. Today, we celebrate the veterinary practices that have worked so hard to earn accreditation, by being evaluated on and meeting hundreds of rigorous standards set forth by AAHA. These clinics exemplify excellence in veterinary medicine, following best practices in numerous areas including patient care, surgery, dentistry, pain management, client services, and more.

To provide exemplary care, the veterinary team needs a building that supports best-practice medicine, and we are proud to have designed facilities for many AAHA-accredited hospitals. For these projects, our designs always meet or exceed AAHA’s facility standards. It is an honor to support these practices in performing outstanding veterinary medicine.

Congratulations to every AAHA-accredited hospital raising the bar for patient care today and every day!

Making friends in Catstanbul! 😻

Sarah didn’t quite reach her goal of petting all 200,000 of the adorable community cats in Istanbul, but she came close! She also enjoyed checking out the famous Cat Museum, where cats are celebrated through art and design.

So fun to visit a city that loves kitties as much as we do!

Greetings from Istanbul! 🇹🇷

Our very own Sarah Boman is currently in Turkey speaking with Keely Siebein, of Siebein Associates, Inc., at the 32nd International Congress on Sound and Vibration. Sarah and Keely are presenting their paper on the protocols they developed for pairing dog biometric data (e.g., heart rate and movement) with sound measurements to understand how dogs respond to elevated levels of noise.

In order to continue to improve our designs, we need to better understand how animals experience sound in their environments. There is limited research on how the soundscape of animal shelters affects canine physiology and behavior, so we are very proud of Sarah and Keely for their important work!
