It felt so good to craft a mug again after almost two years. I had missed it—the feel of the clay in my hands, the quiet, meditative moments that come with shaping something new. Life, though, has a way of pulling us in different directions. There were so many other projects, and ceramics stayed on my mind, but I never found the time or energy. I hope things will slow down, because these moments, when I’m creating, are so precious.
