Our macadamia tree nursery is growing! 🌱

We’re in the process of building more seedling beds, which will allow us to plant more macadamia seeds for our rootstock. It can take up to 2 years to grow and graft macadamia trees before they are ready for sale, so we are planning and planting now for our 2022 orders.

Our macadamia tree nursery is now SGASA certified! 🥳🌟

Hillgro Nurseries has recently been accredited by the Seedling Growers Association of South Africa (SGASA), which is the standard that SAMAC (South African Macadamia Association) recommends macadamia nurseries to have. SGASA’s Certification Scheme aims to promote good nursery practices, ensure legislative requirements are met and recognises which nurseries are excelling in the nursery industry.
