Early this morning members of our team in Bloemfontein conducted joint patrols with the Hospitaalpark community and Afriforum to increase visibility and ensure all residents have a safer suburb. Great work team and to all involved.

Women power! Armed response officer Zintle managed to carry out her first apprehension last week, barely a day after being employed after her training. And coincidentally, this was also on the second day of Women’s Month. She was one of the team who responded to reports of a theft out of a motor vehicle in Hermanus, and helped to recover several items and a large sum of cash that had been stolen from a foreign tourist. Well done Zintle, we are proud to have you on our team.

On Saturday morning, a customer phoned our Community Operations Manager directly to assist with a suspected shoplifter at a business in Fauna, Bloemfontein. On arrival, the suspect was apprehended and handed over to the SAPS for further questioning and investigation. Great work team and keep it up. Strong community relationships are a key component of our proactive crimefighting efforts.

Well done to our team in Bloemfontein who today helped arrest a wanted gang. The group are wanted in connection with several armed robberies and has terrorised homes and businesses across Bloemfontein. Today a positive hit was detected and the vehicle was tracked. A short car chase ensued before the car was eventually boxed in. Two suspects were arrested and taken to the Park Road police station. Well done team for the amazing work and for everyone involved today in bringing these criminals to book!

In a joint multidisciplinary operation, our Bloemfontein team was involved in an arrest. A vehicle was impounded and a suspect arrested which led the teams to other suspects. The teams split up to follow up on the lead and managed to make a second arrest. Unfortunately, the other suspects evaded capture. The suspects are allegedly involved in shoplifting incidents and we hope they will lead the team to further arrests. Great work team!
