'n Kliënt het my gevra hoeveel dit kos om hierdie werk te doen....
Ek het hom geantwoord: R1500
Hy het gesê: So duur vir hierdie werk?
Ek het gevra: Hoeveel d**k jy sal dit jou kos?
Hy antwoord my: R800 maksimum ... Dit is 'n redelik eenvoudige werk reg? !"
- Vir R800 nooi ek jou uit om dit self te doen.
- Maar.... ek weet nie hoe om nie.
- Vir R800 sal ek jou leer hoe om. So behalwe om jou R700 te spaar, sal jy die kennis kry vir die volgende keer wat jy wil
- Dit het vir hom reg gelyk en hy het ingestem.
- Maar om te begin: jy benodig gereedskap: 'n Sweismasjien, slypmasjien, kapsaag, boorpers, sweiskap, handskoene ens...
- Maar ek het nie al hierdie toerusting nie en ek kan nie al hierdie vir een werk koop nie.
- Wel, vir nog R300 meer sal ek my goed aan jou verhuur sodat jy dit kan doen.
- Goed, sê hy.
- Goed! Dinsdag wag ek vir jou om hierdie werk te begin doen
- Maar ek kan nie Dinsdag nie ek het net vandag tyd.

- Ag nee!... Maar om hierdie take uit te voer, gaan ek meer geld spandeer en baie tyd mors!
- Het jy hulle? Kan jy dit voorheen aan my doen?"
- Goed!
- Ek sal vir jou al die materiaal maak wat jy nodig het. Vragmotorlaai word Maandagaand of Dinsdagoggend gedoen. Jy sal 6 moet kom laai die trok. Moenie vergeet om betyds te wees om verkeersknope te vermy en betyds te wees nie
- Op 6??? Nope! Te vroeg vir my! Ek het gewoonlik later opgestaan...
- Weet jy, ek het ged**k. Julle beter die werk gedoen kry. Ek betaal jou eerder die R1500. As ek moes, sou dit nie perfek wees nie en dit sou my baie meer kos.

Wanneer jy betaal vir 'n werk, veral handgemaakte, betaal jy nie net vir die materiaal wat gebruik word nie, maar ook:

- Tyd om te gaan

- Verantwoordbaarheid
- Professionaliteit
- Akkuraatheid
- Gewaarborg
- Patente
- Opofferings

- Betaling van belastingverpligtinge

Niemand kan ander mense se werk afkraak deur pryse te beoordeel nie.
Slegs deur al die elemente te ken wat nodig is vir die vervaardiging van 'n sekere werk, kan jy die werklike koste skat.

NS: Ek het nie hierdie dialoog geskryf nie, maar deel dit om vakmanne en entrepreneurs te ondersteun, dis dit.
