Did you know that 80–90% of rigid mesh fencing sold in South Africa, even from leading brands, is not designed to withstand the harsh coastal climate? That’s because many of the fence panels are made with lightly galvanized wire, which is often thinner than the advertised 3mm or 4mm. On top of that, the protective layers are inferior.
Vista-Mesh is different. We start with true 3mm and 4mm base wire; up to 20% thicker than some competing brands. This strength gives our fences a significantly longer lifespan.
But thickness is only part of the story. Vista-Mesh wire arrives at our factory already coated in AluZinc 10/90. This advanced alloy lasts up to three times longer than conventional Class A heavy galvanizing. That’s vital in coastal regions, polluted industrial zones, and other tough environments.
For the final layer of protection, Vista-Mesh panels are coated in-house with imported Plascoat thermoplastic powder. This method outperforms powder coating, hot-dip galvanizing, and other plastic coatings in corrosion resistance.
Vista-Mesh comes in three durable Plascoat colours that won’t fade, crack, or rust for decades. Even in salty coastal conditions, dirt can simply be wiped away, leaving your fence looking as good as the day it was installed.
If you’re installing or replacing a boundary fence, make sure your contractor uses Vista-Mesh, the fence built to last
