Well what do we have here?They Alstroemerias ... commonly referred to as Inca lillies. Native to South America they are plentiful in Cape Town and seen here in my client in Tokai's gardens. Inca lillies are typically found in shades of yellow, pink, red, orange and more as seen in the pics. They flower best in full sun. Ideally, they should be planted in well composted soil with mulch on the surface to insulate their fragile roots from the heat of the sun. Known to have an extensive flowering time in summer, Inca lillies require little maintenance and make for perfect cut flowers lasting up to three weeks in a vase. Clumped together these fairies promise to provide you with a real feast for the eye throughout summer.🦋🌿🦋

Here's the Hydrangea for you.These pics taken in my clients garden shows hydrangea's my team planted two seasons ago. Offering large globes of flowers in spring and summer, the spectacular blooms on these species is actually native to Asia and the America's. They grow best in soil containing plenty of organic materials offering good drainage - which is vital to its survival - and is thus to be planted with plenty organic compost. Hydrangea's thrive in semi-shade as evident in the pics. Loving and flowering prolifically when receiving the morning sun, they do not do well in the hot afternoon sun.
If show appeal and cause for second looks is what you after in a flowering shrub, these blooming beauties are sure to be showstoppers in your gardens.💐💐
