The Cabinet Dr makes a house call to, Melissa Combrink, to give her kitchen a much needed service.... hear what she has to say about her experience.

On Thursday, The Cabinet Dr made a house call to Melissa Combrink, who won a kitchen service with The CCMI Kitchen of The Year Competition.

During the house call a number of issues were identified and we made some recommendations that would improve the longevity of Melissa's kitchen. We brought her cabinet fronts into alignment and fixed the prep bowl which had worked its way loose over the years.

Some of the issues that we identified were: improperly fixed hinges; inferior quality drawer runners; some of the carcass components were originally cut skew and as a result the cabinets are permanently out of alignment – which unfortunately cannot be fixed without removing the entire base structure and replacing the carcass completely.

We are happy to report that Melissa is very happy with the adjustments we made.
