We at Home Grow Guru would like to be a part of a initiative to plant fruit trees in communities and schools. For every tree a customer purchases from us and donates it towards this initiative, we will donate a tree!

I would like to thank everyone who shared our "trees for sale" post as you are possibly the reason why I was contacted by a gentleman by the name of Ebrahim.

He works for a charity organisation that has been feeding 1000+ people per day for the last 5 weeks. He wants to purchase a few trees to reward the people who selflessly took part in the feeding program which assisted so many people in need.

His dream is to continue planting fruit trees in communities and schools in order to develop a self sustaining community.

We at Home Grow Guru would like to be a part of this initiative. For every tree a customer purchases from us and donates it towards this initiative, we will donate a tree!

5 benefits of Celery
1. Is a great source of important antioxidants.
Antioxidants protect cells, blood vessels, and organs from oxidative damage.

2. Reduces inflammation.
Chronic inflammation has been linked to many illnesses, including arthritis and osteoporosis. Celery have approximately 25 anti-inflammatory compounds that can offer protection against inflammation in the body.

3. Supports digestion.
Pectin-based polysaccharides in celery, including a compound known as apiuman, have been shown to decrease instances of stomach ulcers, improve the lining of the stomach, and modulate stomach secretions in animal studies.

4. Is rich in vitamins and minerals with a low glycemic index.
Youโ€™ll enjoy vitamins A, K, and C, plus minerals like potassium and folate when you eat celery. Itโ€™s also low in sodium. Plus, itโ€™s low on the glycemic index, meaning it has a slow, steady effect on your blood sugar.

5. Has an alkalizing effect.
With minerals like magnesium, iron, and sodium, celery can have a neutralizing effect on acidic foods โ€” not to mention the fact that these minerals are necessary for essential bodily functions.

It's such a rewarding feeling watching your crops grow and seeing the end result. This lettuce grew over 30cm in 4 weeks.

It's amazing how these little babies turned into beautiful, healthy and fully grown vegetables. The growing medium I'm currently using is rockwool.
