Subsequently in 1997, a Cape Town office under the leadership of Michael Philippides was opened and MWP Architects was born. Arthur Messaris and Andre Wapenaar continue to run the Gauteng office with Michael Philippides running the Cape Town office. The partners collectivel

African continent and Europe, and are currently engaged in various projects on both
continents. The firm has also formed associations with architectural practices in
