This is an offer I posted on facebook about a year ago and I think the time has come to revisit the spirit of paying it forward.

Over the last two months I have been following the comments on Facebook with regards to the Fires that have been destroying the Deep South. I have been blown away by the concern, commitment and generosity of the public and the general community spirit displayed by everyone in and around the Valley. I have been so inspired by you all and feel that it is time that i do something for my community. I am a local Plumber with 20years experience and would like to offer my services (free of charge) to anyone who is genuinely in need of minor plumbing maintenance but just can’t afford it. I am prepared to donate an hour of my day to anyone who is REALLY in need of this service. I will do one free call a day for the next month and if the need is genuine and I can see that this offer is not being abused by people taking a chance, I will extend the offer indefinitely.(Please note that this offer extends to all emergency services, regardless of their financial situation). If you really need a hand please don’t hesitate to call me on 082 494 2290
I hope that this will be the start of “a culture of giving back” as displayed by all of you in the Deep South
