Dear Community
Repairers of Broken Walls is a non-profitable charity organization that works on behalf of the poor; this project was inspired by the living conditions of some children in the informal settlements in Dunoon settlements where we are currently working, we started this project by going door to door asking for used clothes, blankets, toys, books and food last year May and formally registered on 02-10-2014 we are three members involved plus three volunteers from the community with the goal of restoring their lives and helping them find a purpose in life. We sincerely request financial assistance for a website and to purchase two or four temporary classrooms/Modular classrooms as children’s community centre where they will be trained i.e. sport, drama, dance, music, life skills and other activities like helping with homework after school to keep them off the streets. We have discovered that poverty is the root of crime, teenage pregnancy, prostitution, drugs and alcohol abuse; homelessness and neglect of children. According to most recent studies, there are estimated 163 million orphans worldwide. We are currently providing at one meal a week for +- 50 children with the intentions of increasing to seven days a week through the help of the community and companies. A gift of any amount will change the lives of these children, prevent crime and help them make good choices in life.
Our Vision is to:
• Provide two meals everyday for the children living in poverty and shaping their future
• Building a safe and fun environment where all local children are welcome
• Promote skills to underprivileged people
• Encourage children to take part in physical activities and develop healthy habits and lifestyle
• Introducing sport, drama, music, dance and life skills
