Creating something beautiful by recycling materials. A little foray into shashiko stitching. There is so much about this and boro and kantha stitching that I love. It's rich cultural history, the endeavour of the human spirit to make do and preserve but even more than that, to create beauty out of what *little* they have. Of course now we have so much so in that spirit am turning it around and using up the offcuts of mass-produced clothing materials to create something beautiful for you!
