Established since 1987 Dampmen, specialises in cementitious crystalline waterproofing, employing knowledgeable supervised teams we have been successfully treating damp for over 20 years. ransforms concrete, creating a water-resistant barrier that is durable and impervious to water. When combined with water the crystaline admixture reacts with the cement particles to form crystals. Over a period of months these crystals expand, filling the pores in the concrete and permanently block water ingress. Cementitious waterproofing can be applied as a slurry to existing slabs, or as an admixture to new slabs. Cementitious crystalline waterproofing , allows concrete to breath, self heals cracks up to 0.4 mm, protects the concrete and, becomes an intricate part of the concrete, increases comprehensive strength compressive, resists high hydrostatic pressure, resists chemical attack, can be applied to both negative and positive sides. Cementitious waterproofing slurries can also be used on brickwork.

One of the most popular methods and affective methods of treating rising damp is a system that involves the installation of a chemical damp proof course (DPC) along the base of affected walls. This method involves drilling holes into the mortar course and injecting a silicone-based liquid into the holes. In my opinion Sikalastic 152 cementitious waterproof system is one of the best options when it comes to waterproof concrete structures.

Over the years we have used this system on balconies, flat roofs, retaining walls and water retaining structures! To date, it performed brilliantly!
