We did an internal renovation for a client. She wanted a more open space and we
■ removed an arched doorway and made the entrance
bigger.
■ She then asked us to make the opening even bigger. We removed the fitted lintel and fitted a longer stress lintel.
■ We cut away part of the wall to open up the space more.
■ We removed all the kitchen cupboards, wall and floor tiles.
■ Three doorways were enlarged and one doorway moved.
■ All the floor tiles were removed.
■ The interior walls and ceilings were primed and painted.
■ The kitchen and laundromat walls were tiled.
■ Two openings leading to the pool was bricked up, primed
and painted.

The weight of the sandbank pushing against the wood was causing the support posts to shift. Some of the wood was rotten as well. The wood was removed, foundation was laid, PVC pipe was added for water drainage. Covered the foundation with bidum cloth to allow water drainage, without having the pipes clogged with soil. Laid retaining blocks to keep the sand wall at bay. Planted rebar in the first row and filled the blocks with concrete to prevent movement.
