​Many hours of teardown, deep stripping, detailed prep, and precise Shou Sugi Ban charring went into giving this single dressing table set a bold new identity.

To lock in that deep scorched grain and protect the finish, it’s sealed with three coats of Gripseal Resilience Clear Velvet.

​Process Breakdown:
✅​Strip & Prep: Stripped back the old white paint entirely to reveal clean pine board beneath.
✅​Shou Sugi Ban: Controlled torch burning to draw out the high-contrast figure and natural character of the timber.
✅​Sealing: Finished with three coats of Gripseal Resilience Clear Velvet for long-lasting durability and a smooth, low-sheen touch.

New PG Bison super white melamine bedside pedestals I made up to match the walk in closet cabinetry recently completed by us....fitted with 170deg full overlay concealed hinges with soft close function which offers unobstructed access and silent closing, handles to match the walk in closet and mounted on black splayed legs cause we gotta keep the black accenting and.... (so the floor cleaning doesn't damage the base/gable ends) and it gives them a modern look ✅ pretty chuffed with the outcome.
