Every estate needs to make a statement upon first entry, with the Gatehouse (usually the first building one encounters) hinting at what is to come. Our proposed Izinga Park Gatehouse certainly does that, with its modern blend of timber & stone, overhanging greenery, and the Bali-style roofs of Izinga, greeting all those who enter with a bold statement.

Supporting the main residential estate, is the adjacent communal clubhouse. Designed around natural spaces and a redeveloped water attenuation pond, the proposed facilities boast a clubhouse/ hall, an indoor training pool & yoga studios, multi-purpose sports courts and an open park area, all bordered by the North Western edge of Umhlanga's Hawaan Forest.

Security, Sustainability and Convenience are the key concepts that most prospective home buyers look for these days.
In our proposed residential blocks, we've designed around those very features as all apartments have their own drive up and direct access to their front door. With each of the high-end apartments spanning an entire floor, all 4 bedrooms face towards the Northern sunlight while taking in the serene views of the ocean and Sibaya Casino. Each apartment also has its own pool or whirlpool bath, and in keeping with the Izinga precinct design code, a modern design merged with natural materials are used throughout, with terraced planting uniting the building together with nature.

As specifically requested by our client, Toyota's proposed Entertainment Hub uses containers as its core concept. In combining these with more conventional building methods, a flexible entertainment, meeting, work and conference space has been created for all staff and guests in their remote test track site in the KZN Midlands.

With the afore-posted Terra Solis resort and event destination, overnight accommodation was also needed. Cue a series of glamping campsites amongst the desert dunes, and highlighted by prefab lodges units, designed to mirror that of the infamous water villas in the Maldives, except in this case, nestled in Dubai's famous sand. Building in the middle of the desert certainly had its challenges, but these were all met head-on to produce accommodation units that complement the magical experience Tomorrowland's resort.

In 2021, our international client base took us to the desert dunes of Dubai, as we developed the concept and implemented the design of an exciting resort for renowned event company, Tomorrowland. The dreamy destination includes an Olympic-sized pool, rustic cabanas, unique accommodation and dynamic restaurants (all with the famous Tomorrowland decor and designs) which operates as a resort during the day, while flipping to a 4000-person event arena at night.

Planned as part of Durban's ever-expanding city, the Cornubia precinct was designed to provide for KZN's largest mixed-use, mixed-income and fully-integrated human settlement. In recent years, it has emerged as a highly sought after business location, with the rapid uptake of commercial and industrial sites.

Designed to fit in with the the envisaged contemporary industrial precinct, the Cornubia Cube was one of the first warehouses setting the tone for the rest of the development back in 2013.

Back in 2015, MCA tendered for the internal refurb of the main passenger terminal at King Shaka International Airport, in Durban. On the drawing board was better seating in a central grand piazza, greater visual links from the cafes and shops, scaled down canopy features tying into a new identity, and generally a more attractive environment for the thousands of local and international guests passing through every day.

Sadly the project never came off, but it was an exciting venture into the aeronautical space nonetheless!
