K9 Unit Tracks Down Theft Suspect Following Foot Chase

Blue Security Command Centre received reports of a male suspect who had allegedly stolen alcohol from a store at Bayview Centre before fleeing the scene on foot.

Members of the public pursued the suspect, who attempted to evade capture by jumping over several residential fences and entering multiple private properties in the surrounding area. As a result, the Command Centre received several panic activations and reports from residents advising that an unknown male was inside their yards.

A Blue Security Armed Response Officer, together with the Blue Security K9 Unit, was immediately dispatched to the area and conducted an extensive search. The coordinated operation resulted in the successful location and apprehension of the suspect on Lenny Naidu Drive.

The suspect was handed over to Chatsworth SAPS for further investigation and processing.

The incident highlights the importance of rapid response, effective coordination, and the valuable role of the Blue Security K9 Unit in locating fleeing suspects.

Routine Patrol Uncovers Suspicious Possession

While conducting a routine patrol along the M13 West near the Stapleton off-ramp, a Blue Security Tactical member observed a male carrying several bags containing camping chairs. Due to the suspicious circumstances, the individual was stopped for questioning.

The suspect was unable to provide a clear or consistent explanation regarding the origin of the items. A search of the bags revealed three camping chairs, two orange and one green and grey as well as a bush knife.

Blue Highway Patrol arrived on scene to provide assistance while members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) were contacted. Pinetown SAPS Crime Prevention responded to the scene, took the suspect into custody, and transported him to the police station for further investigation.

The suspect was subsequently charged, and the recovered items were handed over to SAPS as part of the investigation.

Hijacked Taxi Recovered in Lamontville

Blue Security Tactical members received information from Cartrack regarding the location of a suspected hijacked Toyota Quantum taxi. Live tracking coordinates placed the vehicle in the Lamontville area, prompting an immediate response.

Upon arrival at the reported location, members located the vehicle abandoned near a local tavern. Enquiries were made with the tavern owner, who advised that an unknown male had parked the taxi before walking away and disappearing from the area. The tavern owner further confirmed that he did not know the individual and had never seen him before.

Members of SAPS, Metro Police, and Cartrack attended the scene. The registered owner of the taxi was contacted and confirmed that the vehicle was expected to be parked at his residence earlier that evening. After noticing that the taxi had not arrived, the owner checked the tracking system, which led to its location in Lamontville.

The owner attended the scene and arranged for the recovered vehicle to be towed back to his premises.

Stolen Motorbike Recovered After Coordinated Search

Area: Lamontville

Blue Security Tactical members received information from a vehicle recovery group regarding a white Big Boy motorcycle that had been stolen in the Montclair area. Live tracking coordinates indicated that the motorcycle was moving towards Lamontville.

Responding members immediately proceeded to the area and began searching for the stolen motorcycle. During the operation, two males were observed riding a motorcycle at high speed from the vicinity of the last reported tracking location. A pursuit was initiated; however, the suspects fled the area in an unknown direction.

Undeterred, Blue Security members returned to the last known tracking location and conducted a further search. The stolen motorcycle was subsequently located abandoned on a nearby roadway in Lamontville.

The recovered motorcycle was secured and handed over to the relevant recovery team for further processing. Metro Police and supporting security partners also attended the scene.

Joint Operation Leads to Arrest of Wanted Suspects and Recovery of Hijacked Vehicle

Blue Security Tactical and K9 members joined forces with the Chatsworth SAPS Detective Tracing Team in a targeted operation aimed at locating and apprehending two suspects linked to serious criminal offences, including hijacking, kidnapping, theft, and assault.

Following extensive intelligence gathering and investigative efforts, the suspects were traced to two separate locations in the Verulam and North Beach areas. Both locations were tactically approached, and the suspects were successfully apprehended without incident.

During the operation, a hijacked vehicle was also recovered. The vehicle was secured and transported, along with the suspects, to Chatsworth SAPS for further investigation and processing.

The operation highlights the value of effective intelligence gathering, coordinated teamwork, and strong partnerships between private security and law enforcement agencies in combating serious crime.

Suspicious Activity Leads to Detention of Two Men

Blue Security members responded to a report of a suspected intruder on the roof of a property in Windermere. Upon arrival, a thorough inspection of the premises was conducted; however, no suspect was located.

While returning to the patrol vehicle via the rear of the property, responding members observed two males carrying large bags in the vicinity. The individuals were stopped and searched due to their suspicious behaviour.

The search revealed that the bags contained spades, as well as copper and aluminium cables. The circumstances surrounding the possession of these items could not be immediately verified.

Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) were contacted and responded to the scene. The two suspects were taken into custody for further investigation after claiming they had been given the spades. The origin of the recovered cables remains the subject of an ongoing SAPS investigation.
