Wanted R**e Suspect Apprehended with Stolen Copper Pipes

Area: Kharwastan
Date: 2 June 2026

While conducting routine patrols along Heron Street, Kharwastan, a Blue Security Armed Response Officer observed a group of males gathered together. Upon approaching the group, one male was noticed seated with several copper pipes in his possession.

Further enquiries were conducted with nearby residents, who alleged that the suspect had stolen the copper pipes from a property situated at Heron Street before fleeing the scene. It was established that the property was occupied by a non-client tenant and that access had been gained through an open yard.

The suspect was detained on scene pending further investigation. The tenant indicated that they would be following up with the relevant authorities regarding the theft.

Members of the South African Police Service Chatsworth attended the scene and, upon conducting their enquiries, confirmed that the suspect was also wanted in connection with a r**e case. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody for further investigation and processing.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Havenside

Blue Security Tactical and K9 Units were activated following information received from Matrix Vehicle Tracking regarding a vehicle that had been stolen earlier in the day from the Durban North area.

Acting on tracking information, Blue Security members coordinated with the Matrix team and conducted a search within the Chatsworth area. The stolen vehicle was successfully located in Havenside and secured without incident.

Following verification procedures, the vehicle was handed back to its owner. No injuries were reported during the recovery operation.

Pedestrian Injured in Arena Park Collision

An off-duty Blue Security Tactical member reported witnessing a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle in the vicinity of Lapwing Road, Arena Park. The member immediately notified Tactical Command and requested the dispatch of emergency medical services and additional support.

An area response vehicle and a Tactical member were allocated to the incident and proceeded to the scene. Upon arrival, members found an adult male lying on the roadway with visible head injuries.

Amawele Ambulance Services attended the scene, provided medical treatment, and transported the injured male to hospital for further care.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the relevant authorities. Members of the South African Police Service attended and undertook the necessary investigative procedures.

First Responder Assists at M1 Collision

Area of Responsibility: Bayview, Chatsworth

While conducting an observation patrol from Railview Road, a Blue Security Tactical member witnessed a motor vehicle collision on the M1 and immediately notified Tactical Command, requesting emergency medical services and additional assistance.

Upon assessment of the scene, it was established that a Toyota Hilux had collided with the rear of a Volkswagen Polo. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were rendered immobile.

Injuries were reported as a result of the collision, and medical assistance was provided by Amawele Ambulance Services. Due to the extent of the damage, towing services were also requested to remove the vehicles from the roadway.

Blue Security remained on scene to monitor the situation and assist where required until the incident was handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation and processing.

Wanted Housebreaking Suspect Apprehended in Westcliff

Area : Rainbow Crescent, Westcliff
Date: 30 May 2026

Blue Security Control Centre received a call from a resident of Rainbow Crescent, Westcliff, requesting assistance in locating and apprehending a suspect who had allegedly broken into her property the previous week.

A Blue Security Response Officer was dispatched to the scene and made contact with the complainant, Mrs. Naidoo. The client advised that the suspect was known to her, had previously broken into her property, and was believed to reside in the area.

Blue Security Tactical members were subsequently dispatched and conducted follow-up investigations. The suspect was located hiding inside his residence and was successfully apprehended without incident by the responding members.

Further enquiries revealed that the suspect had allegedly stolen a cellphone belonging to a hairdresser in the Silverglen area. During questioning, the suspect indicated where the cellphone had been concealed. The cellphone owner was contacted but declined to open a criminal case regarding the recovered device.

A detective from the South African Police Service Chatsworth attended the scene and took the suspect into custody for further investigation and processing.

Man Injured in Westcliff Shooting

Blue Security Community Command Centre received reports from residents in the Westcliff area of Chatsworth regarding gunshots that had been fired.

Blue Security Tactical and Armed Response members were immediately dispatched to investigate the incident. Upon arrival, members made contact with a resident who reported that a white Toyota Hilux had allegedly opened fire on a stationary vehicle.

The vehicle was occupied by a 62-year-old male who sustained gunshot injuries to the lower half of his body during the incident. The victim was transported privately to a medical facility for treatment.

At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown and are subject to further investigation.

Members of the South African Police Service attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Kwa Makhutha

Blue Security Tactical members received information regarding a Toyota Cross that had been stolen from the Bonela area during the early hours of the morning.

Upon receiving the information, Tactical members immediately mobilised and began searching known hotspots within the Kwa Makhutha area. A short while later, members successfully located and recovered the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was secured on scene and subsequently handed over to Matrix Tracking representatives and members of the South African Police Service Kwa Makhutha for further investigation and processing.
