This chair began life as a beech tree in the Czech Republic.
It was steamed and bent using techniques refined over more than 165 years. Skilled hands shaped it, finished it, upholstered it, and carefully prepared it for its journey.
From Bystrice pod Hostýnem, it travelled by truck, rail and ship across continents before arriving in South Africa.
Today it stands in Cape Town at Africa’s largest Hotel & Hospitality Expo, waiting for its next journey into a hotel, restaurant, café, workspace or home.
Every chair has a story.
This one crossed oceans to get here.
