On the 1st of October 2023, Mamba received a call reporting gunshots and a possible hijacking on Oak Avenue, Primrose.

Area Manager Tania (a.k.a Wonder Woman) responded immediately, dispatching Reaction Officer Magqabi as backup.

Upon her arrival, Wonder Woman encountered AfriForum members and immediate medical response was dispatched for the victim. Further inquiries were made to locate the suspects. During a search of a B&B, a speeding vehicle passed by, initiating a pursuit.

Wonder Woman promptly halted the suspects and in collaboration with AfriForum members, executed multiple apprehensions. The suspects confessed to their involvement in drug-related and criminal activities. SAPS joined the operation, resulting in a subsequent raid that yielded a total of seven arrests, along with the confiscation of various weapons and narcotics.

Mandela day 2020.
Greetings from a nice and warm Gauteng. Keeping in touch with the trend we have employed 2 people whom has been looking for jobs for 9 months.
Furthermore and in line with the 67 minutes we at Roof-Line Africa has undertaken to train the two, Louwrens and Tim for the next 67 days in various aspects of construction.
Louwrens will join the Plumbing team whilst Tim will be in our painting team.
Permanent employment will be offered if the two proves us right.
Both started with some guttering today.

So kom ons by die fondasie. Jou kontrakteur gee vir jou die bedrag - en jy vra jouself af "Is hy simpel"?

Kom ons kyk wat die bedrag behels indien die kontrakteur nie vir jou die bedrae uiteensit of "itemize" nie.

Fondasie "mixes"
1 kubieke meter beton bestaan uit:
1 kubieke meter 19mm klip.
1 kubieke meter riviersand of "Concrete mix"
6 sakke Cement

Indien jy nie so groot meng nie kan jou die kruiwa hoeveelhede gebruik:
1 x 50kg sak sement
2 x kruiwaens Riviersand
2 x kruiwaens 19mm klip

Nou kom die arbeids faktor in waat almal klei trap:
Hoeveel grond moet 'n arbeider kan skuif per dag? die aanvaarde hoeveelheid grond is 4 kubieke meter p*k en grou plus die terugvul "Backfill) van die 4 kubieke meter grond.
Daar moet egter ingedagte gehou word dat dit nie klip of rots moet wees nie en ook nie dieper as 2 meter nie, maar grond wat met p*k en graaf verskuif kan word.
Die groot geheim is om te onthou dat hierdie arbeiders gewoonlik jou ongeskoolde werkers is, swak betaal word en dus is hulle dieet maar sleg.
Uit ondervinding sal ek gelukkig wees met 3 kubieke meter uit en terug.
Wat kos die arbeider jou as klient?
Hy verdien tussen R220 en R250 per dag. Sy Ppe word verskaf, oorpak, skoene, harde hoed,en Covid 19 PPE. Die toesig,gereedskap en vervoer moet ook inberekening gebring word. (VERSKUILDE KOSTES)
Die koste per kubieke meter uitgrawing sal R94.10 wees. Gegewe die inligting sal jou kontrakteur se wins R12.55 per kubieke meter wees.

Beton pryse:
Ready mix - R1 221.00 tot R1 300.00 per/m3 afhangend van spec.
Terrein meng(Site Mix) - R850.00 per/m3

Nou ja dit is genoeg vir vandag.

The Devil is in the Details:

Morning all.So our post yesterday worked and my inbox had 17 questions regarding Quantities for Building materials, Constructing Houses or additions and Renovations.
First of all to comprise a Bill of Quantities is not rocket science. However the Devil is in the Details and that is the Labour costs, the hidden costs and the extra over such as instructions outside the original scope of work as per Bill of Quantity (Variation order/instruction)

For today we are going to handle the Bill of Quantities. That is the document which details the work to be done by the Contractor. This price is firm and fixed, meaning the Contractor can not claim more and exeed the amount as per Bill of Quantities.
However, Should the client issue variation orders (no matter how small) the Contractor reserves the right to re-quote or invoice separately for the extra work and/or work outside the original scope of work.
Usually this extra work or Variation order/instruction is payable upfront as it is easier to handle outside the Bill of Quantities not to effect the original scope of work.
Remember to allow for 10% Variation in the final costs for unforeseen situations such as changing ground conditions or elements unknown to both parties when contract was signed.
So for today " Remember Everything has a cost to it. Nothing is for free. That little extra piece of paving, painting or plastering is costs to the Contractor. Why should the Contractor give away his money - That is Bad Business.
