The new POPIA comes into effect as from 1 July 2021. As such, it is necessary to share a disclaimer that all social messaging groups need to adhere to as part of the Act from 1 July 2021.

As we all know, the compliance due date for the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), being 30 June 2021, is steadfastly approaching. This deadline brings a few changes.
